Where to go

A narrow gorge with wooden footbridges over the stream, cascades and rock walls. The route is one-way, at its best in autumn.

Osobitá (1,618 m) is a standalone limestone massif above the village; Baníkov (2,178 m), visible from here, is the highest peak of the Western Tatras.

Four glacial tarns at the head of the Roháče valley beneath Volovec. They're most beautiful on a clear morning, when the ridge is mirrored on the surface.

A stream running through Zuberec, with wooden footbridges and banks good for a walk. Further downstream it joins near Habovka.

The limestone cliffs of Biela skala at the western end of the Sivý vrch ridge (1,805 m). Open views over Orava and the whole Roháče range.

The boundary of the Tatra National Park at the entrance to the Roháče valley. From here, park rules and marked trails apply.

Smaller slopes right by the village, with lifts for beginners and children. Evening skiing during the main season.
